Evening in the Grove – An Orange, White & Blue Gala October 13, 2012
Honoring The Orlando Magic
The Art & History Museums – Maitland (A&H) proudly announces Evening in the Grove, an Orange & White (& Blue) Gala, held on Saturday, October 13, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 10:00 PM at the Sheraton Orlando North Hotel in Maitland. Now in its 14th year, Evening in the Grove has been lauded as one of Central Florida’s best fundraising events for its unique historical theme and entertainment, combined with an exciting auction, friends and fun.
Evening in the Grove begins with a VIP reception and continues with a silent auction and cocktail reception. The evening culminates with a gourmet four-course dinner, tribute, and live auction.
The silent and live auctions feature diverse items including tickets to area attractions, travel opportunities, sporting tickets and apparel, restaurant certificates, golf outings and unique experiences. Art and culture lovers are sure to be excited about the numerous artworks, hand-crafted jewelry and artistic items, and passes to area cultural institutions, all up for bids.
Proceeds from Evening in the Grove benefit A&H art and history educational programming.
The Orlando Magic
Each year, the A&H honors an individual or family that has made a significant, positive impact on Central Florida history. Our 2012 honoree is the Orlando Magic. The Orlando Magic have made this community a better place to live through the Orlando Magic Youth Foundation, the creation of the Amway Arena and RDV Sportsplex, the economic vitalization of the area, and the civic pride formed by the team’s accomplishments.
“The Orlando Magic have been a tremendous asset to the Central Florida community,” says Andrea Bailey Cox, A&H Executive Director/CEO. “It is with great delight that we honor them at our gala event. Not only do they bring enjoyment to sports fans throughout Central Florida, but they have made it their mission to enhance their community with numerous programs to assist and inspire, and help people achieve remarkable things in life. From granting $1 million to 19 local non-profit organizations through the Orlando Magic Youth Fund, a McCormick Foundation Fund, in 2010, to establishing programs including Journey to the Arts, Blessings in a Backpack, Summer Break Spot, Seats for Soldiers, and Baskets for Books, the Orlando Magic have helped shape the Central Florida community.”
Tickets, Corporate Tables & Sponsorships
Tickets to Evening in the Grove are on sale for $70 for A&H members and $75 for not yet members. Corporate Tables of 10 are available for $1000 each. Sponsorship opportunities range from $1500 to $10,000, each with numerous benefits and marketing opportunities, including tickets to the private VIP reception with representatives from the Orlando Magic.
