Artists Critique & Conversation

June 6 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Free

These events bring together art professionals, arts leaders and artists.

The A&H proudly hosts Artists Critique & Conversation. These events bring together art professionals, arts leaders and artists. Each event focuses on an aspect of the artist’s development, as seen through the combined experience of a panel of established professionals and the guidance they provide to the audience. There’s no charge to participate as an artist in the review or as an audience member. Selected artists will receive constructive comments from artist, professor and mentor Lilian Garcia-Roig. The public is welcome to attend and learn how art professionals evaluate artistic skill, process and content.

Prior to the Critique, Garcia-Roig — whose works are included the Enchanted Florida exhibition in Maitland Art Center — will give a talk about her acclaimed body of work, plein air techniques and more.

Talk: 6:00pm | Critique: 7:00-8:30pm
A bar is available with beer, wine and water.

***Call to artists of any medium & style for June 6th Critique***
Share a portfolio selection (a body of work or samples of range of works) for viewing, professional review and public discussion. To be considered, please email images of completed work, artist bio & statement, and link to artist website to education@artandhistory.org no later than June 1st. This annual opportunity has benefited emerging, and established artists as they seek to raise visibility of their artwork, processes, and build connections.
