DESCRIPTION:Artwork by Jules André Smith \nThe theme of mother and child has been explored throughout art history and is often charged with strong emotions. Through this motif\, motherhood has been canonized\, elevated\, and idealized over centuries. Since the Renaissance\, artists have made muses of their mothers\, or paid homage to the Christian representation of Mary and Jesus. DESCRIPTION:Instructor: Anastacia Santspree \nLocation: Maitland Art Center Studio 5 \nCost: $50 + $25 materials fee \nLearn to wire wrap marbles\, gemstones\, and crystals. Anyone can learn these techniques to create beautiful\, wire wrapped pendants. In this workshop you will learn basic wire wrapping for retro childhood marbles\, gemstone pendants\, or crystals. The materials fee will provide you with your own set of jewelry pliers; choice of marbles\, gemstones\, and crystals; wrapping wire; one chain for your finished piece; and informational sheets to take home.
