Encaustic painting is an ancient technique\, but it has become increasingly popular with contemporary artists. Come delve into the versatility of this fascinating process that encourages experimentation! In this comprehensive 2-day workshop\, students will learn about encaustic history\, safety\, surfaces\, and fusing. A variety of techniques will be explored\, such as incising\, layering\, pigment sticks\, mark-making\, mixed media collage\, mono-printing\, and incorporating photos.
