Her most notable works involve performance art\, such as “Ask Chuleta\,” a web series created by and starring Raimundi-Ortiz as the titular character\, deconstructing contemporary art concepts. “Reinas” is another notable work\, where Raimundi-Ortiz confronts the traditional archetype of queens and creates her own versions. In her performance series Pietà\, Raimundi-Ortiz draws on Michelangelo’s renowned depiction of the Virgin Mary\, but replaces the dying Jesus in her arms with members of the public – a mournful response to the ongoing global crises. Today\, Raimundi-Ortiz resides in Orlando and teaches at the University of Central Florida. She is part of the Artists-in-Action program at the Art & History Museums of Maitland.
