DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, February 5 | 10am-2pm\nInstructor: Marion Fague-Bass\nLocation: The Studios at Lake Lily\nCost: $65 + $65 materials fee \nIn this class you will receive 20 grams of fine silver metal clay and learn basic metal clay techniques of rolling\, texturing\, cutting\, and shaping to create a bevy of earrings. You will be guided through your first pair\, then cut loose to let your imagination take the reins. You will have enough clay to make 1-4 pairs of earrings\, depending on the size of your creations. Additional clay will be available for purchase at a discount during the workshop. Included in the materials fee are up to four (4) pars of sterling silver ear wires\, and additional pairs will be available for purchase at a modest price. Your box will be small (approximately 1 cubic inch) and perfect for holding a precious trinket: a coin from your honeymoon in Italy\, a button from your child’s favorite shirt\, or maybe a ring from your grandmother. Using 20 grams of fine silver metal clay and a variety of textures and molds\, you can make your treasure box in the shape of your choice. You will learn how to fit and attach a bottom to your box and how to create a lid with a rim. Boxes will be finished to the dried greenware stage.
