Pewter will be available for purchase during the workshop at $5 per piece. \nCreate your own custom 2D miniature. Choose from over 20 design molds-all inspired by J. Andre Smith’s Maitland Art Center reliefs. Pour and cast your miniature\, then embellish it with paints\, dyes\, and other decorative materials. DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, Dec 4 – Sunday\, Dec 5 | 1pm-4pm \nInstructor: Kent Arblaster \nLocation: Maitland Art Center Studio 10 \nCost: $75 ( materials and tools included\, pewter available for pruchase at $5 per piece) \nIn this 2-day workshop\, learn how to design and create your own 2D artwork inspired by J. Andre Smith’s Maitland Art Center reliefs. On day one\, you will tour the Maitland Art Center and select one of Smith’s reliefs to replicate. Then you will create a miniature version of the relief in wax sculpture and make a silicone rubber mold. On day two\, you will mix and pour acrylic into your mold for curing.
