DESCRIPTION:Saturday Painting Workshops are a great way to expand your painting skills\, whatever your skill level! Join us in November for water & sky!\n\n\n\nThese workshops are a blend of painting and mixed media techniques\, exploring a looser style of painting and greater expression. Complete a project in each unique workshop. Workshops are appropriate for all learners. \nIf you have ever walked through nature and admired the various shades of green or the way the light passes through the bushes this class is for you! We will focus on creating atmosphere using warm and cool colors and explore techniques for creating fullness\, movement and depth. Saturday Painting Workshops are led by local artist and instructor PJ Svejda in Studio 10 at the Maitland Art Center. \nPlease note this workshop has a materials fee of $20 (due in cash at the beginning of the workshop)\, or you can bring your own supplies (see supply list at www.artandhistory.org/classes) \n\nRegister >>

SUMMARY:Sunday Jewelry Workshops: Spinner Ring
DESCRIPTION:Complete a different project in each Sunday Jewelry Workshop! Join us in July to fabricate your own spinner ring. Beginners welcome!\n\n\n\nLearn to create a ring with an anticlastic shape which flares out on each side like a trumpet. This allows a second ring to spin freely around the outside of the first. This workshop is taught by longtime Maitland Art Center instructor and artist Jim Hosner in Studio 5. \nPlease note this workshop has a materials fee of $10-$50\, depending on the project you would like to create. SUMMARY:Beginning Silk Screen Workshop
DESCRIPTION:A&H Artist-in-Action Jacoub Reyes leads this beginners’ silk screening workshop!\n\n\n\nLearn how to create your own screen print and take home an edition of 5 prints! This course will go over the basics of how to transfer and image onto your screen and how to print duplicates. Please bring hand drawn images that can be painted. If you would rather silk screen a shirt\, please bring your own shirt and you may do so instead of the edition of prints. \nThis workshop has a $25 materials fee\, which can be paid in cash at the beginning of the workshop. This is in addition to the workshop registration fee. \nThis workshop takes place in the Studios at Lake Lily\, not the Maitland Art Center main campus. Please note the location on your ticket. \nAbout Jacoub \nJacoub Reyes is a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Orlando\, Florida. He has been featured in several publications such as The American Institute of Graphic Arts\, Centric\, and Artborne Magazine. A recipient of the Southern Graphics International grant award\, J.R.
