DESCRIPTION:Saturday Painting Workshops are a great way to expand your painting skills\, whatever your skill level! Come and paint a fun beach house!\n\n\n\nThese workshops are a blend of painting and mixed media techniques\, exploring a looser style of painting and greater expression. Complete a project in each unique workshop! Workshops are appropriate for all learners. \nStudy dramatic shadow and lighting in a fun light and bright painting! Learn how to utilize perspective\, light source\, and color temperature as we create a beautiful beach house painting with lots of texture! Saturday Painting Workshops are led by local artist and instructor PJ Svejda. \nWorkshop is for adults 18 and over. Registration is $50. SUMMARY:Metal Clay Jewelry Workshops: Embellished Rings
DESCRIPTION:Complete a different project in each Metal Clay Jewelry Workshop! Join us this month to create a set of 3 embellished\, stacking rings.\n\n\n\nIn this workshop you will make a set of 3 embellished\, stacking rings using a combination of fine silver metal clay and sterling silver wire. First\, you will make 3 dainty bands using sterling silver wire. Then you will learn how to make decorative elements from silver clay using a variety of molds and textures: shells\, flowers\, hearts\, animals\, you name it! Then you will solder your decorative pieces onto your ring bands. Finally\, you will finish and polish your rings. For beginners or intermediate level students. Soldering experience is helpful but not required. \nWorkshop is for adults 18 and over. Registration is $65. DESCRIPTION:Complete a different project in each Sunday Jewelry Workshop! Join us this month to create a ring with a tube set stone. Beginners welcome!\n\n\nIn this class\, students will learn the basic tube setting technique by creating a ring with a silver tube setting. Students will fabricate a ring from sterling silver wire\, then add a premade tube setting and set a stone. This workshop is taught by longtime Maitland Art Center instructor and artist Jim Hosner. \nWorkshop is for adults 18 and over. Registration is $50.
