Accordion Bookmaking

Materials fees must be paid in cash directly to the instructor, and are due on the day of the workshop.

A book is simply whatever goes between two covers. In this workshop participants will create books from folding paper in certain arrangements. Instructor will demonstrate the different types of accordion folds, and even demonstrate using one of his own drawings by turning it into a book by cutting and folding it. He will also show the variety of types of accordion books and how they can be displayed as sculptural books.

Participants will be able to create original accordion books. You are encouraged to bring your own drawings to create folded books or you can create books that are blank inside. Leave with a new approach to book arts and a new book!
