A&H’s Maitland Art Center
Recognized as an accomplished architect and noted visual artist, André Smith married his talents for the creation of the Research Studio in 1937. Now known as A&H’s Maitland Art Center, his collection of unique architecture, sculptural reliefs and colorful murals earned the campus a National Historic Landmark designation. Today’s architects, not unlike Smith, communicate a wide range of visionary ideas in multiple mediums and forms. Architect as Artist will feature works of art created by architecture professionals, outside the realm of traditional functional design.
Architecture professionals exhibiting art include: J. Andre Smith (A&H Founder), Butch Charlan, Doug Kleppin, Gregory Stock, Jeff Dix, John Jeronimo, Ken Austin, Maria Guerrero, Maurizio Maso, Richard Reep, Robert Egleston and Bobby Jones.
