Free Family Day: Winter Wonderland

Winter Wonderland Family Day Art Workshop at A&H

Your family is invited to celebrate the arrival of a new season at our Winter Wonderland Art Workshop! Children will create wintery snowflake art mobiles in our main garden of our beautiful and historic campus, using the colors of winter, treasures from nature and handprinted monoprint snowflakes!

Our monoprint snowflakes are inspired by A & H’s founder, Jules Andre’ Smith – a master printmaker who loved experimenting with art. Children will learn that monoprints are the simplest form of printmaking. And just like there are never two snowflakes that are exactly alike, the same can be said with monoprints! Each hand-printed snowflake used in the mobiles will be unique and a one-of-a-kind piece of art! Mobiles will be ready to take home at the end of the workshop to display at your holiday celebrations. So, take a break from shoveling sunshine, and get a little creative and wintery with us! Space is limited.

Family Day is free of charge and brought to you by the Art & History Museums, Maitland.
