The Nomadic Photo Ark is a converted cargo trailer that is equipped with a photo darkroom and small office space, piloted by Monica Jane Frisell and Adam Scher. Since July of 2021, they have been traveling throughout the US collecting 8×10 film portraits and audio stories from folks for their ongoing project Portrait of US. While in residence at the Art & History Museums of Maitland, the Ark will be photographing and gathering stories from people living in and around the Eatonville and Maitland communities.
