Homeschool Day at the Waterhouse Residence and Carpentry Shop Museums

January 10 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

A&H’s Lake Lily Campus

Step back in time and discover the Victorian era of the Waterhouse Family! Learn about architecture in the 1880’s and explore the tools Mr. Waterhouse used to build the Waterhouse Residence in our Carpentry Shop Museum. Students will go on a scavenger hunt as they explore the architecture details outside the Waterhouse Residence and then become an architect by using different drawing tools and sketching their own Victorian era home. Students will round out their day by making a silhouette in a frame, a popular way to capture the image of a person or animal during the Victorian period!

The cost is $10 per child and includes all the art supplies and $5 per chaperone. Afterwards, you’re invited to extend your outing with a picnic lunch and playground fun at Lake Lily Park!

Space is limited for students in grades K – 5 (but middle school students are welcome too). Please note: all children must be accompanied by an adult for the entire duration of the program. Due to the small nature of our homeschool days, refunds are not available and pre-registration on Eventbrite is required.
