Sunday, November 13| 1:30pm – 5:00pm
Instructor: Candace Stern
Location: The Cottage at Lake Lily

In this workshop you will learn a little about the history of Sashiko, a decorative reinforcement stitching from Japan. Create your own small fabric collage using the basic running stitch for this form of embroidery. The 4 x 4” embroidered “patch” you make can be used to embellish a jacket, jeans, a shirt, etc. Join Candace to get started with this meditative and fun method of hand stitching!
All tools, fabric, and thread to create will be provided by instructor, but feel free to bring your own scissors/thimbles if you have favorites.
Workshop is for adults 18 and over. Registration is $60. Please note that a materials fee of $25 (in cash) is due to the instructor at the start of the workshop.
