Unlike many art forms which take years to master, marbling will inspire you with instant gratification and successes! Peggy teaches the traditional ebru marbling techniques using carrageenen (powdered seaweed) mixed into water to create “the size." Then acrylic paints are placed onto the size to create mesmerizing patterns and designs such as: Feather, Bird Wing, Chevron, Peacock, Stone Marble etc. You will create 10-15 marbled papers which can be incorporated into greeting cards, scrapbooking, collages, framed art, journal covers and so much more. We will also experiment at the end of day with pieces of cotton & silk! The last 30 minutes of the workshop will be finishing up our projects and cleaning up.
