In this class we will create a tiny treasure box with a loose fitting lid in a simple way. You will receive 20 grams of fine silver metal clay, and have a variety of mold shapes to choose from. This is meant to be a small (approximately 1” cubed), whimsical trinket box, maybe something to keep a child’s tooth, a lock of hair, a coin from your honeymoon to Italy, the button from your mother’s favorite dress… It is meant to be fun. And you will have fun creating it. A large assortment of textures and molds will be available. You will complete your box to the dried greenware stage. Pieces will be fired after class and available for pick-up the following week. Additional clay will be available for purchase from the instructor. |
