The new Education Studios are almost complete, and you can be part of this historic expansion!
The Maitland Art Center has completed the first major expansion since founder Jules André Smith established it in 1937. Now comes the most exciting phase: transforming these new spaces into vibrant studios and community gathering places.
This campaign is unique — you'll see immediate results as classrooms fill with art supplies, furnishings, and everything needed for the Que Throm & Cicero Greathouse Education Studios to thrive for generations.
What is Needed? $250,000 to fully equip our ceramics, painting, printmaking, and multi-purpose Art School classrooms, and to sustain these Studios for years to come.

What’s the Impact?
These classrooms expand Art School capacity by 300% — supporting lifelong learning and wellbeing for students of every age, and restore A&H's historic Studio Court as working artist spaces — doubling the Studio Artist program.
The Education Studios are named for Que Throm & Cicero Greathouse, whose estate gift — along with support from Orange County Government’s Arts & Cultural Affairs Program — largely funded the $3.5 million project. Now we need your help to finish the job.

Benefits of Support
If giving $1,000+, your name (or a loved one’s name if giving in honor/memory) will be included on a beautiful display plaque in the courtyard between the Studios, and you will become members of our exclusive Landmark Society for the year. All donors will be thanked on our website (unless otherwise requested).
Some of the benefits of Landmark Society include: two very special events yearly, VIP hours before all exhibition opening receptions & Open Houses, unlimited museum admission for your household, and NARM reciprocal passes with benefits at 1,500 other museums.
