In this class we will create a tiny treasure box with a loose fitting lid in a simple way. You will receive 20 grams of fine silver metal clay, and have a variety of mold shapes to choose from. This is meant to be a small (approximately 1” cubed), whimsical trinket box, maybe something to keep a child’s tooth, a lock of hair, a coin from your honeymoon to Italy, the button from your mother’s favorite dress… It is meant to be fun. And you will have fun creating it. A large assortment of textures and molds will be available. You will complete your box to the dried greenware stage. Pieces will be fired after class and available for pick-up the following week. Additional clay will be available for purchase from the instructor.

If you have little or no experience in metal work, this workshop is for you! You will learn the three steps of cut, weld, and polish to create a set of three rings in your size and style.
