If you have little or no experience in metalwork, this workshop is for you! You will learn the three steps of cut, weld, and polish to create a set of three rings in your size and style.

In this workshop, you will create your own custom 2D miniature. Choose from over 20 design molds-all inspired by J. Andre Smith's Maitland Art Center reliefs. Pour and cast your miniature, then embellish it with paints, dyes, and other decorative materials. Use your finished art piece as decor or jewelry! |

Have you ever wanted to learn to string pearls? Do you want to restring your heirloom Grandmother’s pearls? Join us and do one or both! During this workshop you will learn to knot pearls. If you have a strand you want to restring, bring it in! Techniques taught in the workshop and the tools you take home will be applicable for your future pearl or bead stringing projects. |

Encaustic is an artistic medium consisting of hot, pigmented beeswax. Encaustic painting is an ancient technique, but it has become increasingly popular with contemporary artists. Come delve into the versatility of this fascinating process that encourages experimentation! In this comprehensive 2-day workshop, students will learn about encaustic history, safety, surfaces, and fusing. A variety of techniques will be explored, such as incising, layering, pigment sticks, mark-making, mixed media collage, mono-printing, and incorporating photos. Students will make multiple pieces of art by utilizing the learned techniques. All materials will be supplied. All skill levels are welcome! |

In this workshop, you will learn the basic metal clay techniques of rolling, texturing, cutting, and shaping to create 2-4 pairs of earrings. Metal clay can be manipulated like other clays, but once fired is 99.9% pure silver. The instructor will guide you through your first pair, then you can let your imagination run wild to create more! All pieces will be fired after the workshop and available for pick-up the following week. Included in the materials fee is 15 grams of fine silver metal clay and 4 pairs of sterling silver earwires. Additional materials will be available to purchase during the workshop only. For beginners. |
