Learn the basics of jewelry making! This is a great introduction to the art of creating beautiful jewelry. In this workshop you will complete one metal project without soldering. You will learn to use a jeweler’s saw, cut jump rings, cut metal sheet, and various polishing techniques to create a beautiful pendant. Techniques taught in the workshop and the tools you take home will be applicable for your future jewelry projects.

Sunday Jewelry Workshops: Bezel Set Stone Ring

A bezel is a thin band of metal at the base of the stone to hold it in place. Students will fabricate a silver ring with a bezel, then set a stone into it using a burnisher. No experience is required!

Metal Clay Jewelry Workshops: Tube Beads

Tube-shaped beads made from metal clay are great to use in combination with other beads or alone as accents on necklaces or bracelets. In this workshop, you will learn how to texture and form tube-shaped beads in your choice of style. All pieces will be fired after the workshop and available for pick-up the following week. Included in the materials fee is 10 grams of fine silver metal clay. Additional metal clay will be available to purchase during the workshop only. For beginners or intermediate level students.

Create your own small fabric collage using the basic running stitch for this form of embroidery. The 4 x 4″ embroidered “patch” you made can be used to embellish a jacket, jeans, a shirt, ect.
